I have loved nature since I was little – being outdoors brought me peace and calm in a world of undiagnosed anxiety. As I grew older, how my body looked and others’ opinions became more important than my “childish” desires. I spent the next 10 years suppressing my creativity and love for the outdoors, until I hit a breaking point and entered intensive eating disorder therapy in late 2022. I suddenly remembered the immense freedom I felt as a child, when I was in love with nature with no fear of expressing it. I never looked back; nature is my home, it is my reminder that I don’t have to worry what I look like, and I can just exist and explore just as the other living things on our planet do. This is why I want to share my artwork with you all today.
