“Cycle of Life” 12x16 inches

I want to help others on their recovery journeys, and help transform your space into one focused on freedom and colorful expression of your inner-self.

The inspiration for that piece is a little bit scientific, and a little bit spiritual.  Volcanoes are seen as super destructive, especially with how our world is now, and how much we are effected by natural disasters.  In reality, the cycle that a volcano goes through is explosive and destructive, but in the years following, the natural resources that are brought up by the volcano help a greater diversity of life flourish in the soil near them.  So really, if we look at the whole picture, the destructive forces of volcanoes are actually creating a better place for nature to thrive, and after the destruction, the growth and rebirth is even stronger.  Same thing with wild fires... though we have a different relationship now with those as well.  I thought it was a beautiful idea, and something that we often share with nature... sometimes the worst and most destructive times in our lives need to happen to give way to better and brighter things.  They are the cycles of life, and the cycles in nature -- and wherever you are, remembering that we will come around to a brighter day one way or another is a big part of what got me to recovery, and what keeps me going still.
