“Beautiful to Love the Ordinary” 30x40 inches

We all have ordinary bits about us, some of them we don’t even think about often, but these little bits are the things that make us who we are. Leaves for me are a symbol of the ordinary that we sometimes ignore, but it is just beautfiul to love. I will leave you with this poem, the very thing that inspired this piece:

“Anyone can love a rose,

but it takes a great deal to love a leaf.

It’s ordinary to love the beautiful,

but it’s beautiful to love the ordinary. “
